Mochi Tsuki (Rice Pounding)

We were able to attend an event put on by the JMSDF officers called "Mochi Tsuki" but most often it's called "Mochi Pounding." It was really fun! For the Japanese New Year celebrations, they pound rice into a paste to make treats.
