March and April

WHEW. After this I'll be caught up! Get ready for a whirlwind of pictures!

In March Ryan and Lissa came to visit! It was so much fun! We explored a lot of new places and did some new things like the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo and Enoshima Island!

Boat from Enoshima!

We took Ry to a local firestation! It was SUPER fun and I'm so glad we did it!

It POURED rain one day, so Alex took Hadley outside to check it out!

We took a night out after Ry and Lissa left to go on a date to Yokohama!

We also went to a Yokohama Baystars game! SO fun and sooooo different from a US game!

For Hadley's half birthday, we went out to breakfast and went up to Tokyo to celebrate 6 months of 3 whole humans staying alive!

Motorcycle show! He was in heaven!

 Lunchtime!

Happy Easter!!

A champ at her 6 month appointment! The doc had nothing but good things to say (and even commented on her complete lack of crying for the third time!) Handled her shots better than ever too!

THEN! Hads and I flew to California!! (Alex joined us a few days later!)

This girl is a BORN traveler! She did SO well!

She got to meet her great aunt!

 and her (great) grams!

She could NOT get enough of Gramps! She thought he was just fantastic!

fun with Grandma!

FOUR generations in one photo! I've been waiting such a long time for this photo!

Alex only got to spend like 16 hours at Grams and Gramps, but we loved it! Afterwards, we drove to San Francisco for Steve and Emily's wedding and to see Tara and Jon!!

Meeting her Auntie Tara!!

And Uncle Jon!

Azkaban (Alcatraz) exploring!

She loved these two!

Tara and Jon watched Hads one day so we could attend Steve and Emily's wedding

Bathroom selfie game is strong in our family.

Then! She got to meet her Nana and Papa!

and her aunt Katie!

and THEN her Aunt Laura and Uncle Gabe!!

Then, after the WORST travel experience of my life, 36 hours consisting of a 15.5 hour plane ride, overnights outside of a train station, a bullet train ride, 3 train changes, and a cab ride home, we finally got back to Japan.

And this girl was AMAZING the whole time (it helps that she had access to food and a warm, snug place to sleep.

Happy as a clam somehow after the travel adventures (while mom and dad were exhausted and barely staying awake enough to eat some food before crashing at home!)

When we got home, it was BadMan week!

We cheered on the Saberhawks all week and on Thursday, I played dodgeball with the spouses!

Or I played until I was dodging 3 balls in the championship finals, twisted, and dislocated my kneecap (and tore a ligament).
Thank goodness it happened where it did; people jumped into action to help with Hadley and take her home; they helped us get our car to medical and then provided us with dinners for five days. One of the many reasons I'm thankful we have such a great community over here!

Home from medical and in pretty good spirits! (hooray for morphine/valium!)

These two fantastic people the next day at the hospital while I got xrays done

BadMan Ball!

Hadley turned 7 months!
As of now, girlfriend is rolling all over the place, scooting backwards, has 2 teeth coming in (so it's been a SUPER great week since I hurt my knee...), is chatting up a storm, sits up for a really long time all on her own and rebalances herself.

And that's all for now folks! I'll try to stay more on top of it now!
